Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Agile Team Product Owner (PO)
Huntsville, AL Full TimePosition Description:
The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Operating Systems Maintenance (OSM) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. The OSM PO will be responsible for reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms, working with Program Management to set priorities for new capabilities and defects, and providing guidance to the OSM team for each Program Increment (PI) and Sprint. The OSM PO will support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for OSM tasks and stories, as well as be responsible for the verification of work performed by the OSM team. The OSM PO will also be required to work with the Cyber team to maintain a suitable cyber posture for deployed OS products. The position will include technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership. The PO will report on status; recommended courses of actions, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission. Basic Qualifications: The candidate must have a good understanding of operating systems concepts including Windows and RHEL update/patching requirements, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning/risk assessment, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert/Management (IAVA/IAVM) processes. The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives. The candidate must:Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
Be a US citizen
Have a bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics,
Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above,
Other Qualifications:
An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. The ability to "move out" and champion your ideas, architectures, designs, enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are very important. Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus. Security + and Linux experience are also desired. Possessing an Agilist Certification is an additional plus.
