Architectural Designer Job in New York

New requirement for an Intermediate Architectural Designer job with a collaborative architecture and interior design firm based in Manhattan, New York. The position offers the opportunity to be involved in a range of project types from residential to workplace, focusing on technical execution and with routes for progression to a lead design architect.

The team of 50+ has a unique design philosophy for contemporary and holistic design, with notable projects across New York and beyond. Operating in multiple industries, the firm has a portfolio of built projects across commercial workplace, mixed-use, retail, residential, and urban design; incorporating new build and refurbishments.

Role & Responsibilities

• Involvement in the design and delivery of client presentations and presentation materials
• Assist in defining the design narrative and idea generation
• Production work across the SD, DD, and CD phases
• Participate in multiple projects, covering a variety of industry types.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in architecture or interior design
• 6+ years of industry experience
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, V-Ray, and Enscape; AutoCAD Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and 3Ds Max is also beneficial
• Knowledge of New York building codes and practices
• Hand-sketching and perspective drawing would be advantageous but not essential.
