Job Description

Armed Security Officer Job Description Reports to Quality Control Manager and/or Client Manager. Position Responsibilities Vehicle Patrol assigned City facilities and maintain general security as described in Post Orders. May be assigned to an office/lobby desk position at some facilities. Enforce City ordinances and select vehicle code sections, make physical arrests and/or issue citations in accordance with City policy as needed. Wear a uniform and full duty belt, including firearm, baton, pepper spray, handcuffs, and flashlight. Demonstrate professional communications with co-workers, vendors and city staff. Respond to emergency calls including fire and damage to property. Respond to security related complaints and ensure proper documentation is completed as per policy. Generate and submit electronic Incident Reports, parking warnings, and Maintenance reports using a mobile application. Work under general supervision of Site Supervisor, Quality Control Manager, and/or Client Manager. Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional demeanor. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old, High School graduate or equivalent. Possess a valid CA Driver's License with clean DMV History. Possess and maintain a valid CA Guard Registration (guard card), Exposed Firearm Card and own firearm, Pepper Spray/Tear gas certification and Baton Permit. Ability to successfully pass a firearm qualification with one of our in-house instructors. Ability to successfully pass a thorough oral interview. Ability to successfully pass an MMPI-2 psychological assessment. Have the legal right to work in the United States. Fluent in English (fluency in other languages a plus). Ability to read, write and understand written orders, policies, procedures, and how to apply them. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and takes initiative while carrying out duties.
