Job Description

1. Material Preparation
   
   
   • Measure, cut, and prepare fiberglass mats, cloth, and resin.
   • Mix resins and catalysts according to specifications.
2. Mold Setup
   
   
   • Clean and prepare molds for lay-up.
   • Apply release agents to prevent sticking.
3. Fabrication
   
   
   • Lay fiberglass layers and apply resin (hand lay-up or spray-up).
   • Use rollers to remove air bubbles and ensure proper bonding.
   • Operate vacuum bagging or resin transfer equipment if required.
4. Curing
   
   
   • Monitor curing times and temperatures.
   • Ensure proper hardening of composite parts.
5. Finishing
   
   
   • Trim, sand, and polish finished parts.
   • Apply protective coatings or paint if needed.
6. Quality Control
   
   
   • Inspect parts for defects (voids, cracks, thickness).
   • Follow specifications and safety standards.
7. Maintenance & Safety
   
   
   • Maintain tools and equipment.
   • Use PPE (respirators, gloves, goggles) and follow OSHA safety guidelines.

• Reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Repairing damaged fiberglass components.
