ROLE SUMMARY :

We are looking for an Assistant/Junior Category Manager with a passion for the beverage industry based in Bentonville, AR. This position will work with our Walmart customer with a major focus on developing insights, identifying opportunities, and communicating recommendations. We are searching for an individual who takes ownership of their work, that is detail orientated, achieves timelines and always pushes themselves to reach higher and accomplish more.

JOB RESPONSILBILITIES:

• Build strong relationship as a junior category manager with Walmart as a trusted Category advisor
• Effectively communicate, manage and prioritize workload across multiple projects
• Develop impactful category analyses and consumer insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources
• Tell the story of the data and insights from various data sources to create clear and impactful selling stories in a visually appealing manner using PowerPoint
• Effectively educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications
• Goal of identifying opportunities to grow the beverage categories

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar field
• 2 years+ experience in a lead or category management role
• Senior level proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to manipulate and organize data
• Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Nielsen, etc.), nice to have experience in retail link and/or luminate
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use large data sets to develop insights, identify and present opportunities and recommendations to external partners in a persuasive manner
• Familiarity using dashboarding software (PowerBI) and space planning software (JDA, etc.) is preferred.
