Job Description
As a Driver at Reliable Tire Disposal, you play a crucial role in safely and efficiently transporting tires and
trailers, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Logistics Manager,
you are responsible for following designated routes, adhering to safety laws, maintaining vehicle
integrity, and communicating effectively with the Logistics team and customers. Success in this role is
measured by your ability to uphold safety standards, ensure accurate tire counts, and contribute to
overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a logistics or transportation role. (2 Years Minimum experience driving a 26ft straight truck or larger)
1. Route Management:
• Follow assigned routes the Logistics Manager provides for tire and trailer transportation.
• Efficiently navigate fuel-efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and delivery
schedules.
2. Loading and Unloading:
• Collaborate with a helper to load and unload tires, ensuring accurate counts and proper
handling.
• Maintain a focus on safety and minimize the risk of damage during transportation.
3. Vehicle Maintenance:
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition for safe and efficient operation.
4. Fueling:
• Take responsibility for refueling the vehicle as needed, keeping track of fuel expenses.
• Monitor fuel efficiency and report any irregularities.
5. Safety Compliance:
• Obey all traffic and safety laws, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others on the
road.
• Report unsafe situations or incidents promptly to the Logistics Manager.
6. Communication:
• Effectively communicate with the Logistics Manager for route updates, manifests, and
customer concerns.
• Report any property damage or accidents immediately.
7. Customer Interaction:
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and pickups.
• Address customer concerns promptly and communicate effectively to resolve issues.
8. Invoicing and Payments:
• Calculate amounts for customer invoices based on delivered quantities.
• Collect payments from customers courteously and professionally.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a logistics or transportation role. (2 Years Minimum experience driving a 26ft straight truck or larger)
• Strong knowledge of traffic and safety laws.
• Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and moving tires.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• MUST return a clean drug screen and driving record.
