Part-time Assistant Brewer

Must have significant experience as a home brewer. Alcona Brew Haus in Harrisville is a looking for someone with a passion for brewing to join our Team in our state of the art 7bbl brewhouse operation!

Job Responsibilities:

• *Learn and adhere to standard operating and safety procedures in wort production, vessel cleaning and sanitation, yeast handling, fermentation and maturation, sample collecting operations *Communicate to ensure safety, quality and efficiency. *Understand and adhere to recipes and formulas. *Fermentation monitoring and documentation *Dry hopping *CIP/SIP of all brewery and cellar vesels *Transfers of wort and beer in progress *Carbonation of beer and kegging beer from brite tank *Keg washing *Perform equipment maintenance, sanitation, and regular housekeeping for all brewery areas *Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures *Support the safeguarding of raw materials for quality assurance *Assist in loading and unloading grains *Ensure fresh product to customers, stage keg and reconcile inventory *Ensure a clean and sanitary working environment

• *Team player attitude *Focus on working safely *Extremely high level of attention to detail *Positive attitude with an ongoing sense of urgency *Excellent time management skills *Proven ability to work with others *Full mobility to perform all tasks associated with craft brewing *Ability to lift and carry 55lb to shoulder height repetitively *Ability to move 170lb at floor level with pallet jack *Ability to stand for duration of shift *A flexible schedule with varied days/hours *Advanced mathematical and reasoning skills *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations and requirements

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.
