Brooksource is seeking to network with skilled and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our Banking client in the Columbus area. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions by analyzing systems, gathering requirements, and ensuring technology aligns with strategic goals. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and system development life cycles.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to gather and document system requirements, use cases, and workflows.
• Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of solutions.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Participate in system design sessions and provide input to solution design based on business needs and system capabilities.
• Support system testing efforts, including test case creation, execution, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal risk policies in all system solutions.
• Develop documentation including business requirements, technical specs, process flows, and user guides.
• Assist with the implementation and support of core banking systems and third-party applications.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
• Experience working and delivering in an agile environment
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of API integrations, data mapping, and interface design.
• Understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, KYC, SOX).
• Experience with core banking platforms and/or digital banking systems.
