About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team. The CFO will serve as a strategic thought partner to the Chief Executive Officer, with a focus on the overall strategic management of finance, budget, accounting, risk, and purchasing. This key role involves providing visionary leadership for the finance and accounting department, overseeing the annual budget and planning process, and ensuring the agency's financial health by managing cash flow, contract billing, and collection. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with an MBA and/or CPA preferred, and a minimum of 5 years' of experience in a senior financial leadership role, particularly within the non-profit or public sector. They should be a creative, innovative thinker, and a champion of continuous improvement, with a proven track record in leading high-performing teams and optimizing financial management systems. The successful CFO will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's financial and reporting software systems, as well as leading a team that is committed to the mission of supporting and empowering children, youth, and families. The role requires a candidate with comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, experience with financial system implementations, and a strong work ethic. The CFO will also be expected to attend and present at Board and Financial Committee meetings, and must meet all state-required conditions of employment. Leadership skills, including the ability to build consensus and instill confidence during organizational change, are essential.
