POSITION SCOPE

The Class A Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting aggregates and/or wet haul and transporting oversize and overweight equipment to the job sites. Drivers will be exposed to different situations and equipment in performing their assigned task. Drivers are responsible for maintaining their assigned equipment. This position may include day or night shift work, travel, overtime and weekend work up to the DOT maximum hours of service. EXTENDED OUT OF TOWN TRAVEL/WORK WILL BE REQUIRED.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Haul Wet Haul Concrete and/or Concrete Aggregates using an End Dump
• Assist with loading and unloading of oversized/overweight equipment and ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded, and secured before the vehicle proceeds to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while enroute; perform a thorough pre- and post-check to inspect the load and truck before and after each stop
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, and oil
• Take pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediately
• Ensure all items transported are on the manifest accurate and error free
• Use Mechanical and hydraulic trailer experience as well as skills to perform minor maintenance on equipment as required
• Comply with all DOT, state, and local traffic and highway laws, rules and regulations and safely operate all equipment
• Safety, Safety, Safety comply with all DOT and company policies, procedures, and standards of safety
• Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required
• Other duties as assigned

BACKGROUND

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to pass a full background check required for site access
• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement or the ability to acquire endorsement
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Acceptable MVR in accordance with Company Vehicle Program Policy
• Basic Computer Skills Required (Email, Smart Phone, Excel)
