Essential Functions & Responsibilities: - Build formwork according to plans, including flat work, curbs, ramps, and retaining walls.
- Layout for anchor bolts, build templates and install in the correct orientation.
- Bend and tie rebar cages to spec.
- Calculate concrete volumes to accurately order concrete.
- Setting concrete forms in place, ensuring appropriate depth and pitch are achieved.
- Use various tools to pour, smooth and level concrete.
- Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for quality pouring.
- Drives a company-provided pick-up truck to-and-from all order locations.
- Is expected to keep truck well maintained and report to General Foreperson any issues involving maintenance of the truck.
- Works around customers and the general public consistently and is expected to maintain a very high level of professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications: - Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Proficiency with radius flat work.
- Work out of town 4 days per week/overtime as necessary.
- Must be able to work independently and lead a small crew for form, place, and finish work.
Education & Experience - High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Pre-Screen - Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications: - Valid Driver License Required.
Physical Requirements: - RARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing poles, gripping, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs.
- OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): climbing on/off the truck, lifting, carrying, lifting over 50 lbs.
- FREQUENT (up to 66%): sitting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting, carrying, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): standing, walking, body-twisting, speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, reading, reaching, range-of-motion, hearing-speech range, depth perception.
Safety Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.

- Works near/around energized, hazardous parts and equipment.
- Exposed to traffic.
- Works around excessive noise from machines (bore drill, backhoe, trencher, mini excavator, bucket trucks, digger derricks, concrete saw, jackhammers).
- May exposed to hot and cold environments, poisonous plants or reptiles, and stinging insects.
