Job Description

Our client, a leader in data science consulting, is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join their team. Position Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will:

  • Develop machine learning, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms to analyze complex datasets.
  • Prototype, evaluate, and select algorithms using suitable performance metrics.
  • Build models or design experiments to generate necessary data.
  • Create reports and visualizations that provide actionable, data-driven insights for clients.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to automate manual data analysis processes.
  • Implement prototype algorithms within production frameworks for seamless analyst integration.

Qualifications

Required Clearance:

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

Required Degree and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science) + 7 years of experience,
  • OR Masters degree + 5 years of experience,
  • OR Ph.D. + 2 years of experience.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming with data analysis tools such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB .
  • Experience designing experiments or models to simulate data when datasets are unavailable.
  • Ability to develop feature vectors for machine learning algorithms and tune parameters for optimal performance.
  • Expertise in evaluating and validating analytics using techniques like cross-validation, ROC curves, and confusion matrices.
  • Experience guiding teams through analytic development processes and scaling solutions for large datasets.
  • Ability to collaborate with software engineers and cloud developers to integrate production analytics.
  • Skilled in developing and training machine learning systems to support mission automation.

Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000
