General Description The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting the Digital Marketing Manager with the design, implementation, and support of projects and processes in accordance with brand guidelines, marketing strategies, and organizational priorities across all applicable digital channels. Keeps the Digital Marketing Manager and Director of Communications & Marketing informed concerning developments in their area of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Using multi-media resources/tools, is responsible for researching, recommending, and implementing web-based applications and technologies as directed. Understands the use of and how to leverage web technology and social media to the benefit of Great Southern. Looks for opportunities to maximize search engine optimization through the creation of applicable, accurate, and timely content. This duty is performed about 30% of the time.
- Works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and Communications Manager to develop and publish applicable content for both the Company's internet (including social media sites) and intranet. Possesses knowledge of, and regularly uses, a variety of web design, implementation tools/languages, and content management systems. This duty is performed about 25% of the time.
- Works with the Digital Marketing Manager and Communications & Marketing team to ensure alignment with the Company's overall messaging strategy, assists with the oversight of the Company's digital signage inventory and messaging program. This duty is performed about 15% of the time.
- Assists with the development, compiling, and review of digital marketing campaign reports. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
- Assists with the implementation of the Company's audio and video communication and marketing campaigns by ensuring that the media is formatted and edited correctly to upload/integrate into a variety of digital platforms. This duty is performed about 10% of the time
- Working with the Digital Marketing Manager and Communications & Marketing team, coordinates and implements a variety of email marketing campaigns, including the preparation and analysis of campaign reports. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements - High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Website Development, or related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 1-2 years related experience
- Regular use of desktop/laptop computer and basic operating systems.
- Intermediate experience with alphanumeric data entry, PowerPoint, Excel, and word processing.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Strong website development skills and experience, including HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, and Interdev, Homesite, or Dreamweaver.
Additional Information Familiarity with W3C standards and knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues. Good understanding of metadata and taxonomy methods. Experience with Adobe Suite, Acrobat Exchange, and SharePoint. Proficiency with video editing software including After Effects, Premier Pro, and Apple Final Cut. Exposure to website and DNS management services. Exposure to iOS and Android application software for mobile platforms. Familiarity with marketing principles and approaches including marketing strategies, creative briefs, and message planning as well as digital marketing principles.
