Job Title: Director of Golf

Our crown jewel will be a meticulously designed golf course by King Collins, a layout that will test the skills of even the most seasoned players while providing an enjoyable round for golfers of all levels. With excellent conditions and stunning scenery, every shot will create a dynamic risk/reward scenario, a testament to the beauty and precision of the game.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all golf and operations, excluding agronomy.

• Take ownership of hiring and building a cohesive and skilled team of golf and outdoor staff, including assistant professionals, starters, rangers, outside services personnel, and any additional roles necessary for the smooth operation of our facilities.

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of golf operations, ensuring seamless tee time reservations, player registrations, pace of play, and golf cart fleet management.

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall golf experience for our members and guests, combining laid-back charm with world-class service and attention to detail.

• Supervise and provide leadership to the entire golf staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, excellence, and camaraderie.

• Organize and oversee exclusive golf events, tournaments, and member outings, infusing each experience with our signature blend of hospitality and relaxation.

• Maintain accurate records of golf-related activities, including financial transactions, inventory management, and member preferences, to continually improve service delivery.

• Collaborate closely with the Pro Shop Manager and 8 AM Golf to curate a distinctive collection of golf merchandise, reflective of our laid-back yet refined atmosphere.

• Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within the golf community, ensuring all members and guests feel valued and respected.

• Stay informed of industry trends and best practices, seeking opportunities to elevate our golf program and exceed member expectations.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in golf course operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role as a Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional or Lead Assistant at a top flight club.

• PGA membership or equivalent certification required.

• Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team in a laid-back environment.

• Demonstrated experience in hiring, training, and managing a team of golf and outdoor staff.

• Genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for members and guests alike.

• Proficiency in golf management software and other relevant technology platforms.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to accommodate the needs of our members and guests.
