Director of Talent Acquisition (Americas Region)

The Director of Talent Acquisition, Americas will implement strategies and processes in the region that enable the team to attract, engage, and hire the best talent to support VF and our brands. The Director will drive this effort, by leading our Americas talent acquisition team to partner with the business to understand and plan for talent needs, efficiently hire high quality talent, and drive process and operational excellence. The Americas regional team consists of the Global Brands, Enterprise Functions and Americas Commercial organizations. They are responsible for ensuring a consistent, effective, consumer-centric (candidate, hiring manager and HRBP’s) experience for all stakeholder groups, and a compliant approach that is closely aligned with the strategic priorities of the Americas Region. Responsible for serving VF as an expert resource on sourcing, recruiting and selecting high potential talent from a diverse set of backgrounds. This position is a highly visible and critical leadership role, reporting to the VP HR Americas.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Lead and develop the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring operational excellence and efficient hiring of VF associates across the Americas Region (brands / region / function – both corporate and high-volume recruiting leadership).

  • Consult with business leaders and our People & Culture Team to identify talent needs and organize and allocate Talent Acquisition resources accordingly.

  • Partner with leaders in HR and across the business/organization and key external stakeholders to ensure that all Talent Acquisition programs are aligned to regional business needs, coordinated in their implementation and consistently exceed expectations.

  • Partnering with our Talent Acquisition Operations team to utilize data and metrics to drive key performance indicators, effective prioritization, communicate progress, and monitor effectiveness, continuously assessing and improving our hiring processes and service level agreements (SLA) practices.

  • Drive talent branding messages and campaigns across different candidate touch points.

  • Optimize recruiting processes that ensure exceptional candidate experiences at all touch points in the recruiting lifecycle.

  • Develops and implements functional strategic goals that tie into the overall strategic plan of the Americas region; supports business development opportunities and proposals.

  • Lead and grow our team of ~20 recruiters, further developing the team’s recruiting acumen and building a highly engaged and high-performing team.

  • Ensure that we are constantly responsive to changes in the talent market, learning from industry best practices in recruiting, and innovating on what great looks like at VF Corp and for our Brands.

  • Drive Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Action (IDEA) efforts by creating and implementing strategies that aim to ensure a diverse pool of candidates for all brand positions, minimize the impact of unintended bias, and equip and empower recruiters to educate hiring managers on the value of a diverse workforce.

  • ​Close any recruiting team talent capability gaps through mentorship and development of talent acquisition leads and recruiters.

Skills for Success:

  • Educational Position Requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

  • 12+ years of similar talent acquisition experience in a corporate environment

  • Minimum 10 years leading a team of recruiters and recruiting leaders

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with, partner with and effectively influence stakeholders at all levels throughout the end-to-end talent acquisition process

  • Flexible and adaptable leader and team player who thrives in a collaborative, globally matrixed and often-changing environment

  • Outstanding people management skills, and proven ability to effectively coach and develop recruiters and recruiting leaders at all levels of their careers

  • A “doer” mentality with the ability to translate vision into action, and a strong growth mindset

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and recruitment analytics and storytelling with data.

Hiring Range :

$150,336.00 USD - $187,920.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
