SENIOR ELECTRICAL REVIT / VDC COORDINATOR

Location: Chicago, IL
Job Type and Duration: Contract to Hire
Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 or more (depending on experience)

Essential Job Functions:
* Associate's Degree in Computer drafting or construction management
* Field experience in the construction trade
* Electrical construction experience is a plus
* Model 3D Revit Conduit, duct banks, Equipment, supports, and other electrical system components
* Create, Edit, and Coordinate 3D models using Revit
* Supports Preconstruction, Prefabrication, and on-site construction teams
* Strategize project-related modeling requirements with the project team during the project kick-off
* Assist the director of design and the project team as required
* Review project submittals and shop drawings
* Knowledge of general construction. Experience in the electrical trade required
* Assists in the development of the company's BIM-related goals, initiatives, and standards
* Develops new ways to utilize model-based information in various phases of projects
* Communicating with field personnel and MEP Trade Team members
* Create 2D Shop Drawings for Field Installation
* Create 2D Fabrication drawings
* Produce material schedules for procurement using Revit
* LEAD Virtual construction, clash detection, and coordination meetings
* Construction PPE will be required on the job sites
* Review work for accuracy and quality
