Electronics Technician
Key Role:

Serve as an electronic techni cia n, c ond ucting the assembly and fabrication of electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. Perform tasks, including the operation of mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools, and electronic tooling. Apply industry and organizational knowledge to programs and projects. Leverage knowledge of standard policies and procedures, and practical application of the general and technical aspects of the job to complete assignments. Work under general supervision. Perform routine work requiring no instruction, with general instructions given for new assignments.

Basic Qualifications:
    \n
  • 2+ years of experience as an electrical techni cia n in the Defense industry, Military duty, or the DoD
  • \n
  • Experience with soldering and rework techniques
  • \n
  • Experience with electronic diagnostic tools such as multi met ers and oscilloscopes
  • \n
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly fabrication, including wiring harnesses, electronic circuit boards, and integration of electronic components
  • \n
  • Ability to install, assemble, and configure new electronic systems and components such as circuit boards or wiring
  • \n
  • Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and fix issues in electronic systems, including testing, debugging, and performing quality control checks
  • \n
  • Ability to analyze engineering drawings to determine the electronic fabrication requirements and layout of electronic assemblies
  • \n
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • \n
  • HS diploma or GED
  • \n
  • Formal Electronics Education Program or Apprenticeship Certification
  • \n

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the design of electronic systems and components
  • \n
  • Knowledge of 5S and other Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with engineering and quality control
  • \n
  • J-STD or IPC 610 or IPC 620 Certification
  • \n

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
