Job Description

*Baxter Law* is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney with 2+ years of family law experience to join our team in the beautiful Old Mill District of Bend, Oregon. The ideal candidate is a dynamic team player who is organized, professional, and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting. Salary DOE.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Represent clients in family law matters, including litigation, negotiation, and mediation
* Conduct legal research using Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis
* Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
* Manage caseload with a high level of independence while collaborating with the team

*Requirements: *

* Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
* Licensed to practice law in Oregon
* Strong understanding of legal principles, procedures, and court practices
* Proficient legal research skills (Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis)
* Excellent writing, drafting, communication, and negotiation abilities
* Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively
* Prior legal administrative experience is a plus

*Position Details:*

* In-person role, 32–40 hours per week
* Competitive salary: starting at $110,000/year DOE
