What You'll Do:
API Architect: You'll build and maintain robust RESTful APIs using a modern Python (3.9+) web app framework (think Flask, FastAPI, Starlite). You'll be the architect of the backend!
Database Master: You'll create reusable CRUD operations using an ORM (like SQLAlchemy). You'll be the master of data!
Frontend Innovator: You'll develop engaging and user-friendly frontends using modern Javascript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.). You'll bring the user experience to life!
Modernizer & Refactorer: You'll migrate and refactor our existing Flask backend to FastAPI, establishing and documenting best practices along the way. You'll be leading the charge in modernizing our tech stack!
Frontend Transformer: You'll migrate our Flask frontend to a modern Javascript-based frontend, establishing and documenting testing and development practices for future engineers. You'll be setting the stage for future innovation!
Data Model Optimizer: You'll evaluate our data model, ORM, and CRUD methods for best practices, migrating the database and updating data models as needed. You'll be ensuring our data is in top shape!
DevOps Champion: You'll establish sustainable models for development, CI/CD, and deployment practices. You'll be streamlining our development process!
Feature Enhancer: You'll continue to support and extend our web app functionality and feature roadmap based on stakeholder requests. You'll be adding your own creative touch!
What You'll Bring:
Experience creating RESTful APIs using a modern Python (3.9+) web app framework (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Starlite).
Experience creating reusable CRUD operations using an ORM (e.g., SQLAlchemy).
Experience with modern Javascript front-end development and best practices (e.g., React, Vue).
Bonus Points:
Experience setting up comprehensive tests, development practices, and documentation for a web app.
Familiarity with basic user experience and user interface design principles.
