Our Public Works Department is a team of talented individuals who work to keep our city running smoothly and efficiently in order to make our community a truly desirable place to live and work. This role is non-exempt and has a starting salary of $16.91 DOQ. Knowledge of Public Works infrastructure. They are on the leading edge when they: Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro 3.x, including tools and extensions and familiarity with ArcGIS Online environment Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and drawings. And they expect the best by: Performs or sets up systems and procedures for condition assessments. Performs other work related to the operation and maintenance of the City's GIS database, asset management system, and pavement management system. What you'll bring to help you be successful Must have a High school diploma or G.E.D., with a minimum of one (1) year vocational or college course work in GIS geography, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field of study. Candidates should meet one of the following criteria: Have at least one (1) semester of education remaining in order to graduate; Receive a degree/certificate following the completion of the internship; Have recently graduated (2024/2025) with a related degree or certificate. Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one. 2025 Summer Internship with interviews expected to be held the week of April 7th.
