Role Description

This is a remote contract position for a Fundraising professional - though you are very welcome to attend one of our offices. The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, managing planned and annual giving initiatives, identifying potential donors through prospect research, and cultivating relationships with philanthropists and organizations, focussing on the US and EU, across our AI for impact initiatives. This role includes devising innovative approaches to achieve fundraising targets and collaborating with internal teams at Electric Sheep, Open Paws and at our joint venture Code for Compassion International Campuses to ensure donor engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Planned Giving, Philanthropy, and annual fundraising strategies
  • Proficiency in Fundraising and Prospect Research to identify and approach potential donors effectively
  • Strong networking and relationship-management skills with donors and stakeholders
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals
  • Some impact investment experience including comfort with engaging with impact investor donors would be beneficial
  • Excellent written, quantitative and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting - being based in SF is not necessarily required!
  • Familiarity with fundraising tools and donor management systems is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
