The Practice leads within the Psychology Team are accepting applications for an academic credit internship during the summer, fall, and spring terms.

- Practice promotes the practice and professional work of 110,000+ licensed psychologists in the United States.
- We create opportunities for health service psychologists, and we lead solutions for mental/behavioral health, population health, and diverse societal needs.
- We embrace new approaches, conceptualizations, and models of practice to meet current and emerging demands, especially for population health and health equity. We communicate with the public and members for high-priority issues.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program of study with a major and/or minor in psychology, communication, business administration, or other relevant discipline
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to assist in web content maintenance, including, but not limited to, publishing content, providing recommendations on updates and improvements
- Capable of researching literature, reviewing content, and fact-checking
- Available to support event and meeting planning logistics, attend team meetings, and complete other projects as assigned
Professional Advancement
Through hands-on experience, you will develop understanding of how APA operates as a professional association to promote the advancement, communication, and application of psychological science and knowledge to benefit society and improve lives.
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in collaboration, verbal and written communications, time management, public communication, literature review, webpage management, and more.
Job Location - Remote: APA internships may be considered for remote work eligibility as defined in APA’s Flexible Work Policy and are subject to approval.
Remote work interns may not work from the following states or U.S. territories: Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington, Wyoming.
