Shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $19.77 an hour

The Janitor (Distribution) is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety in freezer and distribution areas by following the Master Cleaning Schedule and performing general janitorial duties. This role requires working in extreme cold conditions of -20°F and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and complete the Master Cleaning Schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal tasks).
• Gather and empty trash throughout the facility.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas using shovels, snow blowers, and apply snow-melting chemicals as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by performing all housekeeping functions.
• Operate equipment safely and handle products according to company procedures.
• Attend and participate in required training sessions.
• Contribute to team efforts and assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to work in freezer conditions (-20°F) for extended periods.
• Meet physical requirements to perform all duties safely.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all safety rules and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a distribution team.

Physical Requirements

While performing the tasks of this job, you are required to talk and hear. You are frequently required to stand and walk. You are occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. You must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. You will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.
