Key Maker / Locksmith
North Versailles, PA

No experience necessary! We will train!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

InterLink Recovery Services is seeking a highly motivated, growth minded individual to help build out its key making division. This role will work mainly out of our North Versailles office but may require occasional time at our other local sites. This is a combination of field and office work.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves technology, problem solving, and not being stuck in an office!

The Key Maker / Locksmith is responsible for cutting and programming vehicle keys for repossessed units in a fast-paced recovery environment. This role ensures that keys are made accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic mechanical skills, and familiarity with vehicle make/models.

Key Maker / Locksmith Responsibilities

• Cut, duplicate, and program vehicle keys and fobs for repossessed or recovered vehicles
• Maintain inventory of blank keys, tools, and programming equipment
• Verify VIN and key code information through authorized systems or decoding tools
• Ensure each key operates correctly before vehicles are released, transported, or stored
• Safely handle and protect all customer and company property
• Maintain an organized, secure, and clean key station or workshop area
• Track and document all keys made in company systems for recordkeeping and billing
• Communicate with repo agents, dispatch, and management to prioritize work orders
• Troubleshoot issues with key cutting machines, programmers, or immobilizers as needed
• Follow all company policies, confidentiality standards, and safety procedures
• Stay up to date on industry trends, technology, regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a locksmith or automotive key maker a huge plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
