I.K. Hofmann is currently recruiting for a Lounge Attendant for the JFK, NY Airport. This position requires a self-motivated and reliable candidate that is able to work in a professional environment.

Position:
I.K. Hofmann has an immediate long-term contract opening for a Lounge Attendant in JFK, NY for a First-Class Lounge. Our client provides a variety of food services to Airlines around the world. Over 1.5 million meals a day are served by our clients to Airlines and its passengers. Currently we are looking for customer service staff at an Airport Lounge within JFK Airport. *It is important that our ideal candidate is flexible for any shifts.

Responsibilities:
Work per lounge Service Standards
Clean up the lounge during opening hours
Clean the bar and kitchen during and after the opening hours
Assist with the preparation of the cold and warm food in the kitchen
Refill the buffet with food, drinks and equipment
Help the Lounge Supervisor with various tasks
Assist guest to help navigate the lounge
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Job Requirements of a Lounge Attendant:
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry's best practices
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions
Prioritize and delegate tasks in a timely manner
Maintain a positive attitude under pressure and motivate team
Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles
Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
Ability to work as a member of a team whose goal is to make all customers experience enjoyable
REQUIRED Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
REQUIRED Experience:
Equivalent professional experience
Minimum Essential Functions:
Standing – Must be able to remain standing for 50% of the time
Walk – The person in this position will be required to move about the kitchen area from station to station.
Carry weight/Lift – Frequently move trays and stacks of dishes, pots, pans weighing up to 50 pounds.
