Responsibilities

• Oversees the supervisory team responsible for maintaining production, packaging, receiving, and shipping equipment, as well as the team handling facility maintenance, including grounds keeping, building repairs, and utilities management.
• Manages planning, scheduling, requisitions, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Oversees new equipment installations, tracks key departmental metrics (downtime, inventory, safety, efficiency, labor), and ensures compliance with work schedules.
• Manages maintenance programs, ensures USDA compliance, maintains records, oversees budgets, and establishes personnel agreements.
• Develops skills assessments, optimizes efficiency, leads root cause analysis, and maintains repair records (EAM & CMMS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 10+ years of food manufacturing experience, ideally in engineering.
• In-depth expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs, refrigeration, boilers, and facility maintenance.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and guiding maintenance teams.
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts, including weekends.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experienced in managing operations across multiple locations.
• Skilled in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Hands-on experience in FDA/USDA-regulated food manufacturing plants.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
