NP/PA Orthopedic Surgery opening in VermontLocated in Rutland, VT - Manchester, NH 120m; Albany, NY 90mFull-time, permanent openingHospital EmployedOverview:Well-established practice currently consisting of 6 Orthopedic Surgeons, 4 Non-Operative Sports Medicine Physicians, one DO, one Clinical Psychologist, 7 APPs and 3 Athletic TrainersThis position requires office and OR First Assist skill mixSchedule M-F, 8:00am 4:30pmCall consists of, on average, one day a week and one weekend a monthProvides healthcare services to patients by following established standards, procedures, and practices in their area of specialty under the direction of the Medical Director and/or physician.Obtains detailed patient history and performs physical or psychological examinations.Performs or orders diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, and interprets results.Administers therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.Assists physicians during surgery or medical procedures.Instructs patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care, and health maintenance.Evaluates outcomes of direct patient care and consults with other specialists as required.Maintains required records and writes progress notes on patient charts regarding status, treatments, and procedures.Provides preventative health care services to long-term patients and arranges consultations and referrals.Facility: 144-bed hospital located in Rutland, Vermont.
