Physical Therapy Assistant - PACE at Providence Non-RN - Oregon summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant provides therapeutic treatment to elderly patients with neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders based on plans created by a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves using assistive devices, exercises, and education to restore mobility, reduce pain, and support healing, mainly for geriatric participants in community and home care settings. The position requires certification, licensing, and offers a comprehensive benefits package within a health care organization focused on elder care.

Description

Provides treatment of neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders in accordance with treatment plan established by Physical Therapist to provide efficient, effective physical therapy to referred geriatric participants. Utilizes artificial aids such as prosthetic devices, therapeutic exercise techniques, emotional support and educational training to restore mobility and function to participants, reduce pain, and promote healing. Provides home care coordination.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapist Association.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • Oregon Physical Therapy Assistant License upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year - Experience in the area of physical therapy.
