Production Team Job Description

Ornua Ingredients North America custom formulates and manufactures a complete line of pasteurized process cheese products. We are looking for an energetic, fast-paced, hardworking and reliable employee to join our Production team!

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 8:30 pm - 6:30 am, overtime as necessary

Wage: $20 + 15% shift differential

Essential Functions:

• Open barrels, block, or bags of cheese and other ingredients
• Ensure recycling and garbages in plant are emptied to allow for smooth production
• Weigh the ingredients to the specified amount per individual batch sheets
• Use knives and wires to cut and trim the ingredients to the correct weights
• Place bags of cheese into boxes and send through to get taped and boxed
• Stack packed boxes of cheese onto a pallet
• Transfer ingredients from the scale to the pick-up tables
• Heavy lifting and the ability to load cheese into grinders is required
• Maintain a clean and safe work areas
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Solid work history is a must
• Basic math, reading and communications skills

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time- (10-hour days)
• Ability to talk, hear and carry out directions in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability work with hands and to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and occasionally up to 100lbs
• Ability to adjust body position to bend, stand, walk, turn, and pivot
• Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practice
