This role is responsible for leading and coordinating team activities, ensuring high-quality production standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46808

Duration: 1 Year (Temp to Hire)

Shift: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday (3PM - 11PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with daily activities of production employees to meet schedule, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of the quality system, ensuring compliance with customer standards.
  • Drive continuous improvements in the production program, processes, and workflows.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and maintain acceptable production quality, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance.
  • Track employee attendance and maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Enforce departmental discipline and company policies.
  • Maintain daily timekeeping and production performance records.
  • Assist with process improvements and special projects.
  • Participate in shift handoffs to ensure smooth operational transitions.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of machine set-up and production processes.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel for training, education, and customer/supplier visits.
  • Strong attendance and reliability record.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including Kaizen and Kanban.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive continuous improvement.

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field OR minimum 4 - 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
