Alpha Media - Lebanon, Missouri. We are looking for a radio enthusiast for our
Programming Utility Associate Position . The ideal candidate is a programming jack-of-trades, who has technical and on-air experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Duties will include on-air talent work, audio production, sports play-by-play, website updates, syndication localization, and producing a local interview program daily. Knowledge of WordPress and video production is a plus.
Locally, Alpha Media operates radio stations KJEL, KOZQ, KFBD, KIIK, KBNN and KJPW as well as We will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities of this position may include: - 1-hour daily show Monday through Friday of local content of importance to the area plus time for prep work.
- Engage with listeners via social media.
- Broadcast live from remote locations and events.
- Operate control console.
- Play-by-play of local sporting events.
- Maintain affidavit compliance.
Requirements of this position include the following: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations.
- Proficient in the use of audio editing software and broadcast equipment.
- Must be a team player and work well with management and staff at all levels.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to successfully execute station events and remotes.
- Able to relate to the audience and have a strong listener interaction.
- Public speaking skills and ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines.
- Skilled in the operation of the control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment.
