Sodexo’s Campus Segment is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Retail Manager 2 to join our team at SUNY Plattsburgh in beautiful Plattsburgh, NY .

 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant, student-centered retail dining program featuring a variety of branded and in-house concepts. The Retail Manager will oversee daily retail food operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, outstanding customer service, and operational excellence.

 

The successful candidate will bring a passion for hospitality, a strong operational background, and the ability to inspire teams in a fast-paced campus environment.

What You'll Do:
  • Direct daily operations of multiple retail food venues, ensuring top-tier food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead and develop hourly and supervisory food service staff while fostering a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture.

  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo’s cash-handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.

  • Maintain strong client and customer relationships, ensuring service excellence and satisfaction.

  • Drive operational performance, financial results, and team engagement.

  • Implement and maintain brand standards across all concepts.

  • Monitor labor, food, and supply costs to achieve operational goals.

What You Bring:
  • Management experience in retail dining, branded concepts, or hospitality operations.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a union environment.

  • Strong focus on customer service, food quality, and brand compliance.

  • Excellent organizational, financial, and communication skills.

  • Experience managing multiple food venues or high-volume operations preferred.

  • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and inventory management.

  • A passion for engaging campus communities and enhancing the student dining experience.
