The RN - Lactation Consultant is responsible for providing nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating their needs. This role involves coordinating lactation education and support while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to the facility's mission. The position requires a current nursing license and certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), with a focus on supporting postpartum and high-risk patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Current Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year
Must meet the following qualifications:
Preferred experience as an IBCLC in an inpatient setting that serves Post-partum and high-risk inpatient patients supporting their lactation needs.
Experience with outpatient lactation and extensive hand on support and education.
Experience in lactation education triage needs
Comfortable with other Nursing Assessments as needed based on the patient including but not limited to Bilirubin lab draws on newborns and Blood pressure monitoring and education.
