Job Description

Intsel Steel is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our Inside and Outside Sales teams, drive revenue growth, and enhance customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the steel industry and a proven track record of sales leadership.

This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills who can effectively manage key accounts, cultivate new business opportunities, and ensure outstanding customer service—all while fostering our company’s culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the steel industry products.
  • Manage key accounts and build strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials that support sales initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Organize training sessions for the sales team to enhance their skills in technical sales and customer service.

Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Steel and Structural steel and sales and/or industrial sales are preferred.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales and sales teams.
  • Strong analytical & communication skills; written, oral and interpersonal.
  • Basic mathematics and computer skills (Microsoft Office Products)
  • Proven experience in steel sales or related fields, with a strong understanding of steel products and the industry.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in account management, demonstrating the ability to maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts and closing sales effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in previous roles is highly desirable.
