Position Summary - Senior Insurance Underwriter - Must reside in Montreal area, 3 - 4 days per week in office.

As a Senior Underwriting Assistant, you will make a vital contribution within the Underwriting Support Unit of our product field operations by working with underwriters and partners to develop and deliver tailored solutions while handling some of our complex accounts. Providing technical guidance to other junior support staff while working under moderate supervision will also be important. Key responsibilities will include:
• Partnering with regional underwriters and/or more senior UW Support employees in the end-to-end processing of new and renewal business.
• Evaluating new and renewal submissions against prescribed criteria to determine completeness.
• Identifying and resolving account alerts and blocks during the submission process to avoid account conflicts.
• Performing data analytics, remodeling, when necessary, referral documentation preparation and completion, as well as form checklist and working approval.
• Assist with training and oversight of less experienced support staff.
