Role Summary

As part of this journey, our Social team plays a crucial role, sitting within the Brand Experience team, which is responsible for creative across digital and physical experiences.


As a Content Creator on Rivian's Social Strategy & Media team, you'll bring this spirit to life by creating bold and joyful content. Your role will be to craft authentic, visually striking stories that embody the brand's spirit and engage with new audiences as we aim to grow our social media presence. You'll work closely with marketing, product, creative, and design teams to build content that resonates, sparks conversation, and amplifies Rivian's voice across digital platforms. Through your work, you play a key role in inspiring people to connect with the brand and the products and protect the natural world.


Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts for social media posts, stories, videos, and live streams, including photography, videography, graphic design, and written copy, that resonate with Rivian’s target audience on platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Spearhead content creation for all brand campaigns, including behind-the-scenes captures, ensuring a seamless integration with other marketing channels.
  • Work collaboratively between marketing, creative teams, social, and comms to create visually cohesive and platform-specific content for Instagram and other social channels.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and industry developments, translating them into Rivian’s tone of voice.
  • Utilize insights from the social and analytics teams to develop high-impact, visually cohesive content that aligns with Rivian’s broader marketing strategy.
  • Grow and maintain social channels in partnership with talent and social teams, to continuously grow Rivian’s presence and engagement.
  • Actively engage with Rivian’s audience by responding to comments and creating interactive campaigns, fostering a strong community and building relationships with brand advocates.
  • Provide creative support and insights to the wider team, working closely with platform partners and utilizing social team insights to elevate content quality.
  • Create content that demonstrates the features and benefits of Rivian’s products in real-world contexts, highlighting their design, functionality, and role in an adventurous lifestyle.
  • Travel as needed to capture content for brand events and activations, including store openings and experiential, ensuring that event coverage aligns with social strategies and brand values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in social art direction, editorial, and content creation, with a portfolio showcasing diverse formats preferred
  • Proficiency in on-platform capture and editing tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Premier Pro, and native social media editing tools.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment, able to manage up and down within the team structure.
  • Data-informed decision-making, comfortable applying audience insights to optimize content strategies.
  • Early adopter and problem solver for digital platforms, comfortable trying new tools and adapting to process improvements.
  • Experience developing and executing content strategies tailored to specific audience needs and platform dynamics across social platforms.
  • Understanding of best-in-class social media presence across competitive brands, with the ability to apply insights to Rivian’s strategy.
  • Strong collaboration skills, building relationships, and working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and design.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital content trends and social media developments, consistently integrating new approaches into Rivian’s strategy.
  • Willingness to travel for event-specific content creation, such as store openings and experiential activations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience writing copy for social and digital marketing campaigns.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $87,300 to $109,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
