Reporting to IDT Senior Vice President of Operations Functions, the Sr. Director Danaher Business System (DBS) will be a key member of the Operations leadership team responsible for leading the integration of and strategy design/implementation of DBS. This leader will have the overall responsibility of accelerating IDT Operations' DBS capabilities and further instilling a continuous improvement mindset, and leading the organization to leverage DBS as a key aspect of how we execute on strategic objectives and achieve results. In doing so, this role will support IDT's operational excellence, thereby playing a very strategic position at an exciting phase of the organization's evolution. This role is responsible for all DBS pillars: Danaher Material Systems (DMS), lean, and innovation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in QDCI (Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation) that is tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and the change management process.
- Assist site / Operations Leadership in the development of a DBS Resource and Roadmap - Lean and DMS (i.e., how to use the DBS tools to drive sustainable improvement in results and operational excellence).
- Ownership of the monthly Ops & Policy Deployment meetings. Ownership defined as: Schedule, agenda, communication, material collection/consolidate/dissemination, meeting AP, etc.
- Appropriately hold leaders accountable for committed results.
- Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching.
- Ensure successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process (includes; (1) planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to PD and Daily Management, (2) kaizen execution and (3) sustainment of kaizens).
QUALIFICATIONS: •Significant practitioner experience in functions/areas supporting •Demonstrated proficiency applying lean principles in a variety of situations. •Hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture. •Able to think strategically and view the business from a general management and commercial leadership standpoint. •Very customer focused and has strong interpersonal and communications skills. •Quick study who can rapidly adapt to Danaher's culture and gain the confidence of the Danaher organization. •High energy and able to handle conflict. •Independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations. -Bachelor's degree required; B.A./B.S. in Engineering or related field is preferred MBA or graduate degree in Engineering or related field preferred At Danaher we bring together science, technology and operational capabilities to accelerate the real-life impact of tomorrow's science and technology.
