Overview Our client is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator with a strong background in cloud computing environments. This role involves maintaining, configuring, and reliably operating computer systems and servers. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of Azure and cybersecurity best practices. Responsibilities Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure in a cloud environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes. Ensure security and redundancy strategies are in place and effective by setting up and managing backups, security solutions, and firewalls. Write and maintain custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention and to lower the downtime of services. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to resolve issues and support users adhering to security and service guidelines. Support the deployment and management of SaaS products through Intune and Azure Identity, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with the established IT standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in Cloud System Administration, specifically with Azure. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Security+. Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products. Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices. Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL. Strong communication skills with the ability to document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with varying priorities. Experience with monitoring systems, automated software deployment, and cloud-native tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to deliver high-quality solutions. Pay Range: $45.00 – $53.00 Hourly This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
