Position Title: Technical Services Manager (Project Engineer Metal Buildings)

Location: Cullman, AL

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000

Industry: Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB)

Core Function of the Position

The Manager of Technical Services oversees and leads the Engineering Design and Estimating team to ensure efficient project execution, compliance with industry standards, and delivery of high-quality results. This role combines technical expertise, team leadership, and process optimization to drive success across the department.

Responsibilities

• Design steel structures and building systems in alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
• Oversee and guide the Engineering Designers and Estimators in reviewing, producing, and optimizing project plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements, maintaining adherence to industry codes and standards.
• Utilize structural software tools like MBS to streamline design processes and deliver precise solutions.
• Develop team performance through coaching, fostering a collaborative atmosphere, and evaluating outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the United States, with the ability to obtain additional registrations as needed.
• 3-5 years of experience in metal buildings or structural design, with proven experience leading teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Proficiency in steel structure design and structural software tools is preferred.
