JOB OVERVIEW

Star Shuttle and Charter in Austin is looking for a part-time Tour Operator to drive Sprinters and Charter Buses on Hill Country tours. We are looking for a positive, outgoing, customer service driven driver who is comfortable speaking into a microphone while giving the tours. Must have a good knowledge of Texas history..

• Transporting guests to/from designated locations in a safe, efficient and courteous manner.
• Adhering to all local and state driving laws.
• Ensures safety and security of passengers and vehicle.
• $20 per hour plus tips.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain complete knowledge and compliance of all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Inspect vehicle for damage; document required repairs.
• Inspect vehicle for operating condition and correct and issues (i.e., tire pressure, oil/fuel/water levels).
• Communicate vehicle maintenance needs to Manager on duty.
• Obey all traffic and driving regulations.
• Remain on scheduled route at all times.
• Drive the vehicle to transport guests/visitors to and from designated destinations.
• Meet and greet passengers from designated pick up areas.
• Communicate any delays, problems and passenger needs by phone
• Document all trips accurately prior to the start of, and at the conclusion of each day

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class C or B with Passenger Endorsement
• Excellent driving record as detailed by Insurance Company requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of local roads.
• Ability to pass background check
• Available to work weekends
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
• Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
• Provide legible communication and directions.
• Basic arithmetic and money handling required.
