Join Our Team as a Trainer Production 3 - Specialized in Paint and Insulation Manufacturing 12-month contract.
Pay: $20.00-$27.00/hr BOE.

We are seeking a dedicated Trainer Production 3 to lead on-the-job and classroom training within our assembly and production areas. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing innovative training programs, introducing new processes, and ensuring new hires and seasoned employees alike are equipped with the skills necessary to excel. In this position, you'll play a crucial part in shaping our team's effectiveness by maintaining detailed training records, monitoring progress, and certifying proficiency. This is a 12-month contract position offering competitive pay ranging from $20.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience. US citizenship is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-the-job and classroom training in assembly and production areas, specifically related to Paint and Insulation manufacturing.
  • Assist in developing and launching new training initiatives, including integrating new processes and manufacturing sequences.
  • Maintain accurate training rosters, examination records, and certification documentation.
  • Monitor trainee progress and provide feedback to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Support the introduction of new production procedures and safety protocols, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with 5+ years of related experience or additional education.
  • Apprentice graduate or Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training sessions.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and PPE requirements.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Certification in training or safety standards.
  • Experience working within manufacturing or production environments.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate's Degree or higher in manufacturing, industrial technology, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in training within a manufacturing setting, particularly in paint or insulation sectors.
Other Requirements:
  • The role involves travel to VA for up to 4 months for initial training before returning to Charleston, SC for ongoing work.
  • The work shift is scheduled either from 6 am to 4:30 pm or 4 pm to 2:30 am, Monday through Thursday.
  • Primary worksite located inside the yard gates in Charleston, SC; elevator access available.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses is required on-site.
