American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a level 1 trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT), SCRQSA (R)(CT), BLS, and prior trauma and Siemens CT experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in a CT department at a teaching hospital with Magnet designation and Level 1 trauma status
  • Schedule consists of 3x12 hour day shifts, Thursday through Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with holiday rotation
  • On-call rotation is required with staff
  • Floating may be required to sister facilities as well as within the scope of practice to meet facility needs
  • Patient caseload varies per shift and location
  • Epic EMR is used
  • First-time travelers are accepted if they have previous CT experience
  • All candidates must include all requested time off at the time of application; approval is based on unit needs
  • Previous perm or PRN staff must have a minimum one-year separation before being eligible
  • A 60-mile radius rule applies; locals may be accepted at a reduced rate on a case-by-case basis
  • Orientation modules average 4 hours and are completed pre-start
  • Scrub color is teal top and black bottom
  • Night and weekend staff must pay a one-time $20 fee for parking
  • Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June-Nov)
  • Travelers must supply their own radiation badge as the hospital does not provide them

  • Minimum 6 months Level 1 trauma CT experience required, with 1 year total experience preferred
  • Current ARRT RT (R) (CT), SCRQSA (R) (CT), and AHA BLS certifications required
  • Proficiency with Siemens CT scanners required
  • Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency
  • EMR experience with Epic preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Current state licensure must be in hand at time of start; pending license not accepted
