\n Nurses with large scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience tend to do well in our area. Average patient load is 3 high acuity patients.\n\n“PCCU is designed to provide specialized care to the acute and chronically ill surgical and medical patient population 18 years of age and older and trauma patient population 15 years of age and older. \n\nUnit Specifics:\nNumber of Beds : 17\nUnit staffing description- 3:1, 2:1 patient assignment. Core staffing for 7 RNs, 2 PCAs, and one ASA (unit secretary).\nType of equipment : Spacelab bedside cardiac monitoring, arterial lines, EVD, non-invasive ventilatory support (bipap, cpap, hfnc), EKOS. \nDocumentation system: Cerner Sorian\nScheduling requirements: every other weekend, 3 UTs allowed per contract, weekend shift make up policy.\nFloating policy: to care areas with like-populations. AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling staffing needs.\nPatient Experience requirements: see description below. \n\nHospital Specifics-\nCertifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center adult and peds.\n\nMedical Solutions Job ID #1035797.
