*** Interviews will be virtual and potentially follow up with an in- person***\n\n***LOCALS ONLY Within 50-Min Commute MAX***\n\nShift: 8 hours between 0645-1700 (usual start times are 0800 or 0830) \n\nLocation: 2020 Santa Monica Blvd Ste 400 # 400A Santa Monica, CA 90404\nFloat Location: 18133 Ventura Blvd, Tarzana, CA\n\nRequired Qualifications: \n•\tHSD/GED \n•\tFlu vaccination (no exemptions/no declinations)\n•\tBLS (AHA or ARC only) \n•\tMedical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI. \n•\tDemonstrated ability to prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries\n•\t2 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting\n•\tProficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture\n•\tExperience with CS-Link/Epic \n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n•\t2+ years working as an MA in Orthopedics \n•\tExperience with medical insurance, referral process\n•\tUnderstanding of medical terminology\n•\tExperience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions\n•\tPhlebotomy certification\n•\tUnderstanding of medical terminology\n\nJob Duties: \n•\tGreet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record\n•\tAssist with tracking and monitoring department specific data\n•\tExplain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice\n•\tSet up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs\n•\tClean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines\n•\tAdminister immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider\n•\tDraw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider\n\nNOTE: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
