As a UX/UI Designer for BirchStreet's P2P SaaS product, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences that drive customer satisfaction and product adoption. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketing as well as with customers to deliver user-centric designs that meet the needs of our enterprise customers.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of high-quality design skills and the capacity to work swiftly, facilitating prompt changes when necessary. Additionally, a strong candidate will be skilled at balancing the ideal design with the necessity for quick, unobtrusive updates. In addition, the ideal candidate will be open to participating in design activities across BirchStreet, such as marketing content and website, to drive further value where they see a need.

Key Responsibilities

• User Research & Analysis : Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to ensure proposed designs meet user needs, resolve pain points, and simplify workflows.
• Wireframing & Prototyping : Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design concepts and user flows. Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and users.
• Visual and UI design: Develop a cohesive visual design style that aligns with our brand identity. Design user interfaces that are not only visually appealing but also enhance usability and accessibility. Create the visual style of the interface, including color palettes, typography, layout, and iconography assets.
• Collaboration : Work closely with product managers to define product requirements and ensure designs align with business goals. Partner with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs, create design assets to ensure development conforms to standards, and maintain design integrity throughout the development process.
• Documentation & Guidelines : Create and maintain design documentation, including style guides and design patterns, to ensure consistency across the product. Advocate for best practices in UX/UI design within the team.
• Performance Metrics : Monitor user engagement and product performance post-launch. Use analytics and user feedback to iterate on designs and improve the overall user experience.
• Marketing Activities . Proactively identify areas of improvement with marketing content, and participate in design sessions for BirchStreet's marketing website.

Qualifications

• Experience : 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably for B2B SaaS products. A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and outcomes.
• Tools & Technologies : Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Familiarity with prototyping tools and usability testing software.
• Understanding of SaaS : Knowledge of B2B SaaS industry trends, user behavior, and best practices in UX/UI design.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to create effective design solutions that meet complex user needs.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Knowledge of user analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) to inform design decisions.

Job Specifics

The role is remote and can be located anywhere in the US, but must be willing and able to work some early mornings or evenings to interact with India and China Product teams.
