Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Upholstery Technician with expertise in industrial sewing machines to join our aerospace interiors team. This role is critical in fabricating, repairing, and installing high-quality upholstery components that meet FAA regulations and elevate passenger comfort and cabin aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to fabricate seat covers, curtains, and other soft goods for aircraft interiors
• Interpret engineering drawings, design specs, and pattern templates to ensure precision and compliance
• Cut, stitch, and assemble materials such as leather, vinyl, and fire-retardant fabrics
• Perform upholstery repairs and modifications on aircraft seating and cabin panels
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to meet custom interior requirements
• Maintain sewing equipment and ensure tools are calibrated and safe to use
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards (FAA, EASA, etc.)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in upholstery, with a strong focus on sewing machine operation
• Prior experience in aerospace or automotive interiors preferred
• Proficiency with single- and double-needle industrial sewing machines, sergers, and binders
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in upholstery or textiles is a plus
• Familiarity with aviation safety standards and materials is highly desirable

️ Work Environment

• Work performed in hangars, workshops, or aircraft cabins
• May involve standing, kneeling, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs
• Use of PPE and adherence to strict safety protocols required
