Job Description

Job Summary: The Utility Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory, inbound/outbound mail, and communicating with internal and external customers in a professional manner. This role supports the Security and Mail Services Manager with any projects and keeping the mail room clean and organized.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and order USPS supplies.
• Receive and sort in-house and incoming mail.
• Pick-up outbound mail packages from all floors for same-day pick-up from UPS and FedEx.
• Assist with UPS and FedEx outgoing packages.
• Back-up for receiving dock and store mail.
• Run paper deliveries as requested.
• Assist internal and external customers.
• Monitor loading and receiving dock entrances.
• Operate cash register, receive postage fee and make change.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Special projects as assigned by Manager, Security and Mail Services.

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pound boxes.
• Proficient in USPS meter (all mail and presort).
• Familiar with form folding machine.
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers while conveying a positive, service-attitude.
• Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
