Job Description
We are actively looking for an experienced warehouse associate for the Arlington, TX area. The ideal candidate will have at least 0-1 years of experience in a warehouse setting and the ability to operate a forklift and other tools, as necessary
What You Will Do - Welcome delivery trucks.
- Receive and track shipments.
- Embark merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools.
- Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise.
- Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times.
- Tag and label merchandise.
- Label and store customer items according to size, shape, and type.
- Palletizing, wrapping the merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards.
- Prepare all orders for shipment.
- Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items.
- Operating forklift.
- Sorting and counting items.
- Taking photos and entering data in inventory system.
- Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks and trailers.
- Accepting delivery of inventory.
- Counting and confirming inventory.
- Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
- Communicating errors to relevant parties.
- Marking and labeling stock.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience - Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
- Previous working experience as a warehouse worker.
- Hands on experience with inventory documentation skills and working in database systems.
- Strong planning and organization skills as well as time management skills.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills as well as a strong customer service attitude.
- Proven accuracy with documentation and reporting skills.
- Successful working in a team environment and cross functionally
- Proven to be dependable and reliable and possess good time management skills
Qualifications - Must be local to 76011 area code
• Ability to lift heavy objects of 30-50 lbs.
• Ability to twist, pull, push, and stand for lengths of time.
• Ability to be comfortable working in adverse climate conditions.
• Experience operating a forklift. Forklift Certification will be considered an advantage.
• Experience operating manual and power pallet jacks
• Proficient in the following software programs: MS Office Word, texting, email, excel
