Job Description
The Epilepsy Foundation of America is seeking an experienced Web Editor to support the web and digital presence of the foundation, as directed by the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, to help further its mission to improve the lives of people affected by epilepsy through education, advocacy, research, and connection.
Summary of Duties
This hands-on position leads content strategy and maintains the website content management and publishing efforts for the Epilepsy Foundation’s website and affiliated digital channels, ensuring that they are optimized, accurate, organized for growth, and represent the foundation’s mission and vision.
The position focuses on providing and producing web content and supporting multimedia (text, graphics, and video preferred) that will encourage both new and returning users to regularly access web channels and utilize them as a source of information by providing expert knowledge of web traffic trends, web accessibility, and search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance and extend messaging and design consistency across Epilepsy Foundation’s digital platforms.
In addition, the position will utilize web content management systems (CMS), project management systems, and software to produce and design web pages, as well as support additional digital publications, content feeds, and social media communications for quality, consistency, and engagement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience creating and editing written web content, communications strategies, or other directly related work experiences.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Programming, Web Design, Web Development, Marketing, Communications, Writing, related field, or equivalent work experience.
