Greenwich Country Day School is an independent, co-educational day school with a current enrollment of over 1400 students in grades N-12, and a faculty and staff of over 350. The original Old Church Road campus is home to grades N-8. The new High School, established in 2019, is located less than two miles away on Stanwich Road. GCDS offers a substantial need-based financial aid program to support students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds. Greenwich Country Day School seeks an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach , to start in November 2025. The Assistant Coach is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strength and conditioning program for all sports and student-athletes, with the three major goals of improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills. The Strength and Conditioning Coach devises training plans according to sound scientific principles, supervises training sessions, evaluates athletes, maintains athletic records, and teaches strength and conditioning/exercise physiology classes. The Strength and Conditioning coach meets regularly with sports coaches to determine what the athletes need to work on. If working with an injured athlete engaged in rehabilitation, the Strength and Conditioning coach will consult with the sports medicine staff. The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for maintaining the strength and conditioning facility and establishing policies, plans, and for the safe and professional operation of the facility.
